Life doesn’t need a complete overhaul.
Sometimes it just needs small upgrades. The kind that quietly remove friction from your day without demanding a personality change.
Here are a few things I genuinely love that make life approximately 10% less annoying (which, if you stack enough of them, starts to feel like a personality improvement).
Disclaimer-Amazon affliate links are in this article. If clicked they will take you to Amazon and if you buy something I might get a little something to add to my shiny hoard i.e. books, music, coffee, that interesting thing that I Should Not Buy but probably will anyway. It doesn’t cost you any extra.
☕ A Coffee Setup That Works With You
Not fancy. Not complicated. Just reliable.
The kind where:
- You don’t have to think too hard
- It doesn’t betray you mid-brew
- It consistently delivers something drinkable
Because mornings are not the time for troubleshooting.

My drink preference is a little different then most I think, but it works for me. Hot water and instant cappuccino. Or hot chocolate. My tummy can’t handle full on coffee so I created a work around. 🙂
This electric kettle is perfect for it. It also good for hot tea. I also use it for instant oatmeal, instant mashed potatoes, or anything else I need hot water for. It’s fast and easy and well it looks really cool with the blue light. Though really any electric kettle would do.
My Coffee Hills Bro Cappuccino Double Mocha
Hot Chocolate Swiss Miss. There’s probably better but I like simple and easy.
🎧 Headphones That Create Instant Escape
Whether it’s music, a podcast, or just blocking out the world for a bit…
Good headphones are basically a “do not disturb” sign for your brain.
Bonus: they make mundane tasks feel slightly cinematic.
Below are three ones I like
BERIBES Bluetooth Headphones Over Ear, This are my favorite ones. The sound quality on them is really good for the price. And they’re comfortable. You can plug them in to your device or use the bluetooth feature. The charge on them last a really long time.

AKG K240STUDIO Semi-Open Studio Headphones These are really good if you need studio headphones. Sound is good and they’re comfortable. (sensing a theme?) My dad whose a muscian ended up borrowing them and I have yet to get them back. Side eye at my dad.

Raycon Everyday Classic This is the one my husband likes. The charge last quite awhile and the sound is quite good. I’ve tried in ear ones but just really don’t like them. I know I’m weird like that.

📦 Things That Solve Problems You Didn’t Realize Were Problems
These are the best.
The “why didn’t I get this sooner?” category:
- Organizational stuff
- Travel hacks
- Little daily-use items that quietly improve your routine
I’ll be sharing more of these over time because honestly, they’re too good not to.
Carnation Breakfast Essentials I know this is a weird one but because of how I am in the morning the thought of food is gross but I know if I don’t get something my blood sugar will bottom out and down I’ll go (not fun). These will keep me going until I’ll want some food.
And I’m lying to you….sometimes it’s not just breakfast time when I don’t want food. These are great anytime. And they’re shelf stable so can last quite awhile.

Scrubzz Disposable Rinse Free Bathing Wipes. Sometimes the thought of bathing is really, really hard. These come in handy at those moments. Just add a little water and wipe on yourself (including your hair) and then just let dry. These are also great for emergency bags. Or take with while traveling.
Real Talk Before You Go
In case you breezed past the disclaimer at the top.
Some of the things I mention here (now and in future posts) may include affiliate links.
Translation: if you buy something through them, I may earn a small commission through amazon… at no extra cost to you.
But I only share things I actually like, use, or would recommend to a friend who texts me “what should I get?”
No random junk. No fluff.
Final Thought
You don’t need to optimize your entire life overnight.
Just start with:
- One better tool
- One less annoyance
- One small upgrade
Then stack from there.
It adds up faster than you think.
