There’s a certain kind of corner you don’t plan to find.
It’s not on a map. It doesn’t have five-star reviews. You don’t arrive there efficiently. You sort of… wander into it. And somehow, it ends up being the most interesting part of the journey.
That’s Errant Corner HQ.

So, what is this blog?
It’s a collection of things that don’t quite fit neatly into boxes:
- Travel stories that didn’t go according to plan
- Thoughts that showed up uninvited but decided to stay
- Creative sparks that turned into actual things (like t-shirts)
- Tiny discoveries that make life feel just a little less chaotic
Think of it as part travel journal, part creative workshop, part “I found this and you might like it too.”

And what is it not?
Let’s set expectations properly:
- Not a hustle-at-all-costs productivity machine
- Not a perfectly curated highlight reel
- Not a place where everything has a tidy, Pinterest-worthy ending
Some posts will be useful. Some will be weirdly specific. Some will feel like a conversation you didn’t know you needed.

Why this exists
Because the internet is full of loud, polished, optimized content… and sometimes you just want something that feels a little more human.
Also, because I run a small creative shop (hi 👋), and this blog is where I get to show the messy, interesting, behind-the-scenes side of making things.
And occasionally share stuff I genuinely love. The kind of things that make life about 10% easier or 20% more fun.
What you’ll find here
- Stories about getting lost (geographically and otherwise)
- Behind-the-scenes of designing and running a small shop
- Travel-inspired thoughts and ideas
- Lists of things I actually use and recommend
- A little Gen X nostalgia sprinkled in for flavor
Yes that’s me riding a unicorn. 😃

The vibe
If this blog had a dress code, it would be:
- Comfortable
- Whimsical
- Slightly unhinged
- Slightly sarcastic
- Prepared for anything, but not trying too hard
Before you go…
If you like wandering, creating, overthinking, laughing at things that probably shouldn’t be funny, or finding meaning in small moments…
You’re in the right corner.
And if not? That’s okay too. There are plenty of well-lit, clearly labeled paths out there.
This just isn’t one of them.
